The botany research group aims to reconstruct the paleo environment of the Near East and related regions, particularly the floral habitats and zoning around the paleo-Lake Hula
- Such paleo environmental reconstruction contribute to our understanding of the effects of climatic variations
- hominin diet and behavior at the site of Gesher Benot Ya‘aqov will also be considered, in relation to changes in the spatial and temporal distribution of edible plants
